Chelsea England, Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)
After graduating from Purdue University in 2006 with a BA in Liberal Arts, I went on to graduate from a 700 hour program at Bodyworks Massage Institute in 2008.
My training in massage therapy includes modalities in Swedish massage, Deep Tissue Therapy, Prenatal, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Craniosacral Therapy, Accupressure, Aromatherapy, Hot Stone Massage, Raindrop Technique, and Energy therapies such as Chakra Balancing. I have been practicing as a Licensed Massage Therapist in the Newburgh and Evansville, Indiana area for the last 9 years.
My practice philosophy is that every human being deserves and can benefit from massage therapy. Our bodies are constantly being pounded with physical and mental stressors day in and day out. This stress settle in all areas of the body, reeking havoc and referring pain through out. By assessing and treating the body in its entirety as opposed to just focusing on a specific "problem" area over and over again, it is more likely the root of the problem will be discovered. If one modality of massage isn't making any significant changes, then its time to try a different technique. I believe that through regularly receiving bodywork and suggesting clients take a proactive approach to good health through nutrition, exercise, and rest, that many common aches, pains, and ailments can be prevented.
I love working as a massage therapist through and through. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity everyday to be of service and making a real difference in each clients life is what its really all about. Whether it is helping someone get relief from pain, giving much needed pampering, or assisting a fellow traveler in this hectic life to just breath easy for an hour...this occupation can truly be physically, mentally, and spiritually rewarding.
My husband Ryan and I live in Newburgh, IN with our new baby boy and our dog Seger. We love driving cross country and enjoy hobbies including hiking, biking, rock climbing, painting, and collecting art. However, most of the time you can find us spending time with family and friends or fulfilling our spiritual life.
I feel truly blessed to live the life I live, and want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a part of it.
